This is our basic 30 minute tour. We will take through an overview of wool milling and see some of the machines in action. Max 6 per group. For hands-on tour experiences and larger groups, make a different selection.
Cost: Free
Optional add-on: make a drop spindle and learn to spin yarn on it. You'll get to take home the spindle and some wool roving to practice with. You'll also have the chance to try using a traditional spinning wheel. $10/person, payable at the tour.

A 2 hour hands-on tour for kids (age 5 through 17). Max 10 kids per group. Learn how wool is turned into clothing on this step-by-step experience. Kids will get to touch and learn about a variety of wool, alpaca, silk, and other fibers; then help with each step of processing, from skirting fresh-off-the-sheep wool through spinning into yarn and weaving on a giant loom. Specific hands-on experiences will be tailored to the age range of the group.
